Create Your Video in 5 Basic Steps

There are a lot of  movie making software in the market. If you are a Mac user, you can go ahead and use Imovie. It has a very user friendly interface.

If you are a PC user, then you have the option to use MS Photostory or MS Windows Movie Maker. They are both free.
You need to download MS Photostory from Microsoft downloads:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

MS Windows Movie Maker no longer comes with MS Windows 7 – you have to download it from Microsoft website and install:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=d6ba5972-328e-4df7-8f9d-068fc0f80cfc&displaylang=en

First of all you have to plan your project. Please make sure that your pictures and or videos are ready to upload. You can also give your students this as an assignment – they can go out, shoot pictures and or videos and then come back to the class.
If you follow the 5 basic steps, you’ll have your movie up and ready in a few minutes!
Please remember that copyright laws apply to all your and your students’ products.

1) Select you pictures and videos – from your My Documents, camera or memory stick
2) Select your effects – there’re plenty of good effects
3) Select your transitions – not a must but looks cool!
4) Select make titles or credits – not a must but will be look more professional to add a slide in the beginning and the end. Your students could put their names and the copyright stuff
5) Save to your computer – if you save it as a project, then you can come back and play with it easily. If you save it as a movie(finalize) then you won’t have that chance.

That’s it! You are ready to go!
You can optionally add music to your movies from the first section; capture video. Please keep in mind that copyright laws apply to the music as well..
You may find a sample movie produced by MS Movie Maker and step by step instructions below.
